| Helensvale
Helensvale is the first integrated suburb built on the hinterland fringe of the Gold Coast, Helensvale welcomed its first residents in the 1980s with a shopping centre, primary and secondary state schools, golf course, parks and a bowls club, all either in place or on the assembly line.
Since then, Helensvale has solidified into a quiet, middle-class village close to the Coomera River and its tributaries and within comfortable driving distance of Gold Coast. It is also a key station on the recently-restored Gold Coast-Brisbane rail link.
The tourist strip is, of course, famous for its ocean beaches, theme parks, shopping and resort golf courses. The coastal ranges and the hinterland offer magical rainforest walking tracks and stunning lookouts.
Helensvale is located a short 10 minutes from from Pacific Pines.

Southport
Just 6 minutes drive north of Surfers Paradise will take you to the original administrative center of the Gold Coast, Southport. One of the densely populated areas in Australia, Southport thrives as a business district. It is so-called because it was the southern most port of the Queensland Colony.
The area is famous for Seaworld Theme Park. Besides, proximity to other theme parks, like Dreamworld, Movie World, Wet ‘n’ Wild, makes Southport a favorite tourist spot. Australia Fair Shopping Center is the pride of Southport. It is a large shopping mall with over 230 stores. Some smaller malls and outlet centers for discount fashion items also dot the Center and makes it the most visited place in the area.
Southport is situated just north of Surfers Paradise and is a great place to stay and visit if
you want to be close to the action of the Gold Coast, without being in the heart of the clubbing action. Southport has a range of attractions to offer for visitors to the area.
